Creativity shows one's uniqueness. It is also the ability to see things in a
new and unusual way, to see problems that no one else may even realize
exist, and then come up with new, unusual, and effective solutions to these
problems. Children would be stimulated with lots of Creativity Projects, and
prompt to finish the assigned projects by using the limited resources.
Teacher will give children clear instructions and to provide limited
resources to let children Explore and Create.

Pictures will be updated after Sept 1st. Please check again later. |
Dr.
Montessori has developed a full range of Math materials from simple counting
to early algebra. She has found that a young child can easily absorb the
concepts and skills of arithmetic in a delightful and effective way. In
stage 1, we'd focus in basic counting, addition and subtraction. In
stage 2, we'd focus in arithmetic operations of decimal systems, exchange
systems, multiplication, division, and fraction. |

No Memorization! Sounds the words out!
Dr. Montessori find
it beneficial for her pupils to use Language in Action (Morris, 1974-83)
which incorporates Phonics 44 in story books and other materials for young
children. This system uses the pink, blue and green series of materials that
Montessorian generally use. In Stage 1, we would focus to teach your child
the 26 vowels and consonant sounds in Pink Series, and the techniques of
using encoding and decoding to sounds out & spell out words. At the end of
the course, you child would learn to be a Phonetic Reader, and be able to
read and spell words that he has never seen. |
